Listen, Listen, Listen! I found this place on Yelp as a dinner spot before we went out on the town. I've had Jamaican food before but this place hit the spot!

We ordered the curry goat, jerk chicken with rice and beans and greens. I never had curry goat before but it is a must have every time i go to a Jamaican restaurant now. The jerk chicken was very good and the meat was well cooked and fell right off the bone!

They have a good variety and their assortment of drink selection was good as well! If you're reading this, stop what you are doing, get in the car and head to Chubby's now!

This restaurant definitely takes you on a trip! From the moment you open that pink door you step into an island vibe - from the music to the decor.

Came here with a group of people and the vibe was just perfect. We ordered more than we could handle, but we just had to try everything! Every dish had really good flavour and a nice kick to it.

    - Full Jerk Chicken (4/5): Some parts of the chicken were dryer than others. The coleslaw was watered down and on the sour side. I prefer more creamy coleslaw.

    - Plantains (5/5): Just the right amount of sweet, evenly glazed. A must-try.

    - Fried Okra (3.5/5): They slice the okras in half to give the illusion that the portion was larger than it actually was. Great for sharing though.

    - Coconut Pudding (5/5): LOVE LOVE LOVE. Just the perfect amount of sweetness. The texture is more firm and topped with edible flowers.

Had take-out via ritual. The jerk chicken was very dry and WAAAY over priced.

The coleslaw was way too salty and it spoiled within a day.

    I regret ordering from here.

The family went to Chubby's to celebrate my wife's birthday as my daughter lives around the corner and she heard it was quite good.

We are fortunate to walk in and have a table for 4 open so we sat immediately and were immersed by the smell of barbecue in the background. I could've just sat there all night smelling the smells.

We started out with some patties which were awesome along side the mango and I forget the other sauce but it was spicy and delicious accompanied with the patties.

Just about all of us went for the jerk pork which was a good portion size and it was really delicious. It wasn't too spicy, my daughter was glad of that but I could've had a bit more of a kick as I like spice, next time I'll ask.

My other daughter had shrimp wraps and told me that they too were awesome. She wouldn't let me try one or even have a nibble. She's outta my will.

Capped off with four Red Stripes, I haven't been to Jamaica or had a Red Stripe in over 30 years so it was good to have one again. Was like seeing an old friend but then drinking them.

Service was great / food was amazing and the atmosphere was perfect.

Cute little area near king west!

Me and my two girlfriends thought this was a great spot to pop into as we were looking to try something new (we all haven't really had Jamaican food)

We had to wait around 10 minutes for a patio seat and our server same and asked if we knew what drinks we wanted like within 3 minutes of sitting down (which was new to me)

After we said no we had to look she was serving w everyone and came back to us 20 minutes later.

So we ordered our food and we didn't see the food until a hour later - the food the brought to us wasn't our food.

We waited some more again my friend got her food, only to later find out it wasn't the right order. A few more minutes pass and my food and my other friends food show up.

My one friend got the jerk chicken. My other friend got the greens and watermelon salad and I got the shrimp wraps. There was no complaints with the food at all it tasted pretty good! Then came when we were ready to pay our bill... another 30 minute wait after we had to ask her for the bill. She didn't apologize or follow up with us at all throughout the night.

The prices in my opinion are pretty pricey for what you get.

One part of the night they turned the volume to 1000 where no one could hear each other.

The restaurant itself was very beautiful inside. Would I recommend this place to someone? No. I think there are cheaper Jamaican restaurants out there I wouldn't choose this one to be your first!
